While more are promised soon, just 40 of its Karma cars (below) have been manufactured and only two delivered to customers’ driveways, including one to movie star Leonardo DiCaprio.

Occupy folks, please think about this. We gave a $529 million loan to a company to make luxury cars in Finland that, we hope, might be purchased by the richest of Americans. That is: We are subsidizing the production of luxury cars for the dreaded 1%.
A couple of years ago, we had the Cash For Clunkers program, which actually destroyed the kind of valuable, cheap cars that working class folks can afford to buy, helping to drive up the prices of used cars to record highs.
So, we’ve got an administration that is making it harder for poor people to own working cars and easier for rich people to own luxury cars.
Yes, that’s the administration that’s running the country during the worst economic period since the Great Depression.
And people are protesting Wall Street.
